6. Antitoxidote
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h6eeso1jBU Probably the harshest song on this list, Antitoxidote is a feedback-drenched piece of punk fury of their 1991 EP Eggnog. The song is filled with wailed vocals and screaming guitars that blaze by at a constant breakneck speed with the drums pounding and bass roaring at a disorienting rhythm. The track is a quick 2:16 but is still full of intensity, as great punk songs must be. Snaking guitars weave in and out of the pounding drums, keeping a disorienting rhythm and crowds in constant motion. The song hits hard and fast and is perfect for the punk fan on everyone's Christmas list. It's nigh impossible to not move your head to this beast. The song roars through your speakers never halting its rapid pace even during the bridge, when the guitars cut out the rhythm section keeps the momentum up following the punk tenant that speed is everything. This is one of the best examples from their collection of loud and fast songs and a good offset to the dirge that they helped establish, proving that innovation doesn't mean stagnation.
