10 Awesome Rock Bands With One Terrible Album

7. The Spaghetti Incident? - Guns N' Roses (1993)

Wait, hold on a moment, The Spaghetti Incident? was worse than Chinese Democracy? Look, does anyone really consider Chinese Democracy a real Guns N' Roses album? It was a solo record in all but name. And Chinese Democracy is kind of enjoyable; it's weird and silly and reeks of Axl Rose's inflated ego, but it serves as a fascinating insight into the guy's mind.

This album, however, still had the original Guns line up, - minus Izzy Stradlin. For all the wealth of talent, however, it sucked harder than an elephant eating spaghetti. Cover albums are rarely good, and this was no exception. Many of the tracks had been recorded at the same time as Use Your Illusion. The a whole album was cobbled together from whatever unused material was lying around. The band slapped on a few over dubs, and pushed out a record, as a money grabber.

The Stooges, T-Rex and Soundgarden all got a nod, but the compositions were so uninspired, that listening to the renditions, becomes an exercise in trying to stay awake. It signposted the end of the band's creativity. Guns N' Roses fast become the Axl Rose show. Which became more evident, after the release of the aforementioned, Chinese Democracy.
