5. The Players - This Is For Real
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpoaVD6KOvI Footballers schedules vary from club to club, but the common consensus is that they are gifted with a fair amount of free time through a week. Some players take up golf, others buy a PlayStation to pass the hours, but why undertake the typical hobby? At least that was the opinion of five Norwegian footballers who instead decided it would be much more appropriate to spend their time trying to create Europes answer to The Backstreet Boys. Former Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen was the main vocalist in Norwegian boyband, The Players other members include Freddy dos Santos, Raymond Kvisvik, Kristofer Hæstad and yvind Svenning. The band have notched up an impressive 118 international caps between them and Pedersen spent eight of his senior years in the English Premier League. Therefore, The Players are unquestionable talented, but sadly not as a boyband. There have been many parodies and mock versions of boybands over the years, the tragedy is that The Players do not fall into that bracket, they just sound like they do. The song is so painfully bad that it appears to be a parody of a parody. You know it is time to throw in the towel when your record sounds like a spoof but is a legitimately serious attempt at making pop music.
