10 Bad Closing Songs On Great Rock Music Albums

2. My World - Use Your Illusion II (Guns N’ Roses)

On September 17th 1991, Guns N' Roses released two double albums at the same time.

Surely this means that some diehard fans would have bought both volumes of Use Your Illusion and then listened to them back to back.

If this is true then, after 29 songs and over two-and-a-half hours of music, the final thing those devoted listeners would have heard was this hunk of junk.

My World serves as the final song on the final disc of Use Your Illusion II. It lasts just one minute and 24 seconds and is a take on the burgeoning industrial metal scene.

It was also, according to Axl Rose himself, written and recorded in three hours whilst everyone was on shrooms. And it shows.

For 84 agonising seconds, Rose bangs on about... actually, it's not entirely clear. He sings about how people want to step into "his world" and then there's a bit about him laughing himself to death before the track just devolves into crude sound effects.

Surely the band weren't also on drugs when they decided to include this hot mess on the album. Then again, this is Guns N' Roses, so maybe they were.
