Not only did Crank That spend seven weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard chart, it also ranked as number twenty-one on Rolling Stone magazines best songs of 2007.

It's one thing for the song to have been commercially successful, it's another for it to have ranked by legitimate music publications. Even more bafflingly, the song was actually nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song, eventually losing out to Kanye West.
