10 Bands From The 2000s You've Definitely Forgotten
7. Black Kids
Mad, joyous, bubbly and catchier than Julian Edelman,
Black Kids brought it with a ruckus of infectious, head swimming pop music that
for some time at least managed to suffice the out of control hype train they’d
boarded and were riding at a million miles per hour towards a precipice of
former ‘Next Big Things’.
Partie Traumatic was a bonkers and always entertaining album of synth charged turbo-pop. Black Kids were a maelstrom of teenage angst melted together with pubescent happiness creating this gooey goodness of a band that was both cool and sort of uncool at the same time.
With the Robert Smith influences laid out for all to see, Black Kids’ jangly wailing and indecipherable lyrics are still fun to move to almost 9 years since their train left the tracks.
