10 Bands That Just Need To Stop

7. The Black Eyed Peas

Formed from the ashes from low-key hip hop act Atban Klann, TBEP took the world by storm following the release of their third album Elephunk in 2003. Their debut release with new female vocalist Fergie went Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum in a swell of countries and established The Black Eyed Peas as the dons of hip hop-influenced pop.

Following the release of their next album Monkey Business, the band went on hiatus which in turn saw the release of solo albums from will.i.am and Fergie. Their return two years later in retrospect marked the beginning of the apocalypse to our senses.

The E.N.D. electrocuted their rap pop sound, resulting in paper-thin beats, uninspired lyrics with a bored-sounding delivery, and then someone made the incredible smart decision to put an auto-tune on one of the most powerful voices in pop.

Following this and the incredibly forgettable The Beginning, will.i.am forged a career in TV as a judge/coach on the offensively obnoxious The Voice, casting his judgements upon a potential new wave of performers. As tragic as it is, it may be considered the lesser of two evils, as no one wants to risk an Urbz sequel.
