10 Bands Whose New Albums Can't Come Soon Enough

10. Scott Weiland And The Wildabouts

The ousted Stone Temple Pilots frontman has a lot to prove with his solo band The Wildabouts, which is now the focal point of his career. Weiland released two highly underrated experimental-sounding albums, 12 Bar Blues and Happy in Galoshes. Though some STP fans had a hard time swallowing material on those albums, Weiland has promised his upcoming first post-firing solo album will be rock oriented and cater to fans of his former bands. Weiland performed some material from the album at a couple of solo shows in late 2013, though as of yet no footage has turned up. However, all we know is that if he wants to really compete with the new Chester Bennington-led incarnation of Stone Temple Pilots, he will need to up the ante and put out a record with some heavy hitting hits. Sadly, Scott's longtime friend, solo guitarist, and producer Doug Grean cut ties with the Wildabouts. Despite this, the band seems to be pressing forward and will be going on tour soon, hopefully with a proper album announcement. Scott posted on his official Facebook a picture of the band in studio with the caption "laying down guitar tracks so heavy they'll melt your face off", or something like that, so there is some definite progress.
