7. Johnny Cash - Out Among The Stars (March 25th)
It's hard to believe that a Johnny Cash album could get lost for around 30 years but "Out Among The Stars" will finally see the light of day this spring. The album was apparently recorded in the early 80s and then later stored away when Columbia Records dropped Johnny Cash in 1986. Lucky for us Johnny Cash seemed to be quite the packrat and his son John Carter Cash stumbled upon this album last year. John Carter Cash and Steve Berkowitz spent some time last year rehabbing the recordings and co-producing the album. They even enlisted the help of Buddy Miller and Jerry Douglas to help bring the album back to life. Not only did they call in some help from country legends but they also allowed Marty Stuart who appeared on the original recordings to come in and re-record his parts 30 years later. The album is due out March 25th and consists of 12 tracks.
