Since getting back together a few years ago Blink-182 has not only managed to tour the world several times over but also released a full length album as well as an EP. Just like any die hard Blink-182 fan will tell you though, their last album "Neighborhoods" was far from their best material. It was their first album since 2003 and for all intents and purposes seemed to be lacking that classic Blink-182 chemistry. A lot can change when your band takes a 4 year hiatus so it's understandable that when it comes to writing together, Blink-182 might need a little more time to figure out how to do it again. Blink-182 is never going to go back to their classic pop-punk sound and that's ok! The grown up, mature Blink-182 still manages to write some great songs and a betting man would put money on them churning out some great material for this next one. They recorded their last album seperately with Tom DeLonge in San Diego while Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus recorded in Los Angeles. This process seemingly had a lot to do with the sound of the last album and it's safe to say they won't be taking that approach with this one. Blink-182 seems to be operating as much more of a unit recently which should contribute to a more cohesive album this time around. It's also worth mentioning that Blink-182 is currently without a record label which in turn could be a good thing as there won't be any pressure on them from an outside party when it comes to making the new album.
