10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs
4. Don’t Go – There Is A Hell… (2010)
There Is A Hell… was a dramatic leap forward for Bring Me The Horizon. Their third album carried the aggression of Suicide Season but it was also a much bolder record with plenty of experimentation.
‘Don’t Go’ is the second song on the album to feature the Canadian pop singer Lights. Though her voice is completely different from that of Sykes, the dynamic between the two vocalists works wonders on this track. The way the pair of them go back and forth during the bridge is particularly powerful.
Instrumentally, the track starts with a string section that soon merges with a clean, atmospheric guitar tone. In line with the increasingly dominant percussion from Mat Nicholls, the song then builds to a terrific climax. Though Bring Me The Horizon are no strangers to playing loud, the gradual rise in tension throughout this track is not a common aspect of the band’s music.
‘Don’t Go’ is one of the most underrated songs from Bring Me The Horizon. It’s not particularly catchy, but it’s one of the most emotionally-charged compositions in the band’s discography.
