10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs

5. Suicide Season – Suicide Season (2008)

Yet the best song on the band’s second record would have to be the title track. At over eight minutes in length, this closing number takes the listener on a considerable journey.

With its slower tempo and sombre tone, ‘Suicide Season’ closes out Bring Me The Horizon’s sophomore album with plenty of emotional resonance.

Few singers from any genre can generate as much anguish as Sykes does on this track. The vocal delivery is wrought with pain as he delves into themes of suicide and depression.

Yet the centrepiece of the song is the extended instrumental section in the middle. Here the song mellows into a clean guitar melody and atmospheric samples to create a truly mesmerising piece of music from the band.

As well as being the standout track on Bring Me Horizon’s second LP, ‘Suicide Season’ is amongst the best material the band have ever produced owing to its hypnotic atmosphere.
