4 . Queens Of The Stone Age - "A Song For The Dead"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrA2KLtAn1A Queens of the Stone Age drafted in Grohl to provide drums on their 2002 album Songs For The Deaf. During the time that Foo Fighters were recording their album One By One, Grohl halted production on the Foo's album to tour with QOTSA. Every drum part that Dave played on Songs For The Deaf blends perfectly, each unique in their own right. One of the most recognisable and much loved parts is from the fourth song on the album, "A Song For The Dead". With the suitably heavy, drop tuned riff provided by lead singer and rhythm guitarist Josh Homme, Grohl comes in out of nowhere with blast beats and fills that could cause an earthquake. But it's the outro that clinches the song its place on the list. With the snare being played at a blinding pace throughout, resembling a military drum roll on speed, Grohl gives the already heavy song a solid kick into overdrive. You can't help but be in awe of that drum fill at the end too.
