Among those who he brought in was a young female rapper who had been flying under the radar for the past two years. At this point Nicki had been signed by Young Money Cash money but she still had to release an album and she was still an unknown commodity in the rap world.

She was excited, Jay-Z (another feature on the song) was an inspiration of hers growing up and it was a chance for her to finally rap alongside the big boys. And she destroyed them.
