10 Best Hard Rock Albums Of The 2020s So Far

4. Below - Beartooth

A huge album in every sense of the word, Below is the fourth studio release from Beartooth and their most successful to date. Hitting shelves in June 2021, the album was the band's first in almost three years and it was more than worth the wait.

The first single from the album, which was entitled Devastation, featured a nice mix of guttural singing and cleaner sounds on the chorus. This balance continues across the entire record, treading the line between hardcore and radio-friendly rock to perfection.

Whilst some long term fans might have been disappointed that some of the songs deviate from the band's traditional metalcore sound, Beartooth have always had a melodic undercurrent to even their heaviest tracks.

Singer Caleb Shomo sounds better than ever on this record, and whoever mixed the vocals on Below also deserves a big pat on the back. Every song sounds crisp and sharp, allowing for plenty of room to absolutely lose your mind when things break down.

Beartooth continue to go from strength to strength with each new release, and Below is certainly no exception.
