10 Best Hard Rock Comeback Albums Ever
7. Chinese Democracy - Guns N' Roses
It's an incredible achievement really on the part of Guns N' Roses that they've managed to retain worldwide popularity to date, despite having only released one studio album in 27 years. Following the release of The Spaghetti Incident? in 1993, the band continued to suffer internal conflicts, leaving Axl Rose as the only original member of the group by the time the millenium came around.
Still, Guns N' Roses carried on with various line-up changes, and by the time Chinese Democracy was released in 2008, it was met with high anticipation, having lingered in development for a number of years. Thankfully, it was a worldwide success - it sold over a million copies in Europe alone and grabbed interest from a new generation of Guns N' Roses fans.
While Chinese Democracy may not be the best Guns N' Roses album ever, it was the start of a resurgance for the band, which eventually led to the return of Slash and Duff McKagan, and the hugely successful Not In This Lifetime world tour, which has been going strong for two years now.
