Across their professional careers, this English power trio had been taking evocative space rock and mixing it with punk and metal to create a stomping musical concoction. Once the intensity becomes too much to bear, the song shifts into one of the greatest harmony vocals the band have ever made before settling into one of the most badass riffs of the entire decade. In order to take rock where it had never been before, Muse gave their listeners a track from another planet entirely.
