10 Best Heavy Metal Live Bands Of 2018

4. Fever 333

Musically, Fever 333 are an unholy union of Rage Against the Machine, Black Flag and Linkin Park. The trio specialise in brief, energised rapcore jams that fuse acerbic verses with catchy refrains and unapologetically rebellious lyricism. Tracks like “Walking in My Shoes”, “Burn It” and “Made an America” are both exciting and poignant, but when heard live, they take on a whole new level of adrenaline-inciting brilliance.

The trio of frontman Jason Aalon Butler, guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta are constantly hyped up when onstage, leaping over barricades and into their audience at every given opportunity. Their mix of the catchy and the insane always causes a cavalcade of moshpits to break out, most of which Fever 333 will giddily join in with.

But Fever 333 don’t just confine themselves to the stage and the pit. During their headline set at the Heavy Music Awards and their support slots under Bring Me the Horizon, Butler even goes as far as to invade the balconies, getting right in fans’ faces while the rest circle ravenously below.

If you’re after pure unpredictability, rule-breaking and catharsis, Fever 333 is definitely the gig for you.
