10 Best Hip-Hop Songs Of 2017 (So Far)

2. Skepta - "No Security"

While the song partially came out in October of 2016, the full version featuring another verse was released in February of this year and instantly made waves all throughout the hip-hop community.

Featuring his signature distorted bass-line that he previously used for the track "It Ain't Safe", Skepta's angry vocals grab the attention of the listeners with intellectual force.

It has been a long time since hardcore rap has been a part of the mainstream scene, and here the genre is warped into elements of grime as he gives some of the most recogniziable ad-ibs, literally blasting the listener in tempo with the music.

Bringing global attention to the UK rap scene, he also brings a preview of his follow-up to his critically acclaimed album "Konnichiwa" and sets the stage for the next era of his music.

"No Security" is the best single of the year, hitting all the right buttons and making yet another mark on the industry.
