10 Best Joe Rogan Experience Episodes With Musicians

7. Reggie Watts (Episode 1015)

Reggie Watts is an incredibly talented musician and performer, and had a simply fascinating two hour discussion with Joe bouncing off a tonne of different topics. The unique character surprised the host almost immediately by confessing he knows basically nothing about hip hop, before going into his love of Whitesnake and the drugs and mechanics behind that kind of music.

This was really the last the two spoke of music for a while in the podcast, quickly turning their attention to bigger subjects like the balance between the rich and poor of America, and how amazing it is that there used to be Presidents of the United States participating in duels.

Possibly the most interesting part of the discussion between Joe and Reggie revolved around evolution and the universe. The host put forward a theory that man's brain size doubled in two million years because they discovered mushrooms, leading to increased vision, more creativity, and eventually the ability to hunt and communicate.

With a degree of playing devil's advocate, his guest then responded with the argument that if we did in fact evolve, what there must have been something to put whatever we initially evolved from here in the first place. Conversations like these can often get very heated, but these two couldn't have been more respectful, and seemingly had a fantastic time talking to each other.
