10 Best Lana Del Rey Songs

7. Venice B*tch

Few songs do what Venice B*tch does. Although it lasts nine-and-a-half minutes, it can feel like nine hours or nine seconds. It begins as usual in Lana's songs, slowly accompanying Del Rey's vocals with soft guitars.

In the lyrics, she describes a relationship with a happier dynamic than what we're used to in her songs. However, as we analyse everything she's saying, we realize that everything is from the sole perspective of the singer. Therefore, we are unsure if it's a relationship made up of her unilateral effort or just a letter to a requited love far away.

But the real spotlight of this song happens once Lana stops singing. When she ends her verses, the song, instead of ending, as usual, takes an intricate turn in the production. This turn leaves us with around six-and-a-half minutes of shifting psychedelic sounds interspersed with different instruments. Then, finally, in the last seconds, we hear Del Rey's voice again, not as a 'goodbye' but like a 'see you later'.
