Van Halen were destined to be rock and roll juggernauts from the moment Eddie Van Halen's solos blew through a set of speakers. The band's brand of heavy rock made every song sound like the most exciting party you've ever been to. Luckily, many realized that the party didn't even start once you saw them live.
When the band was firing on all cylinders, they absolutely demolished their competition with their nonstop debauchery onstage. Leading the charge was always David Lee Roth, whose raspy voice and star charisma made him the ringleader in the circus of Van Halen. Other eccentric moments followed like Michael Anthony's signature Jack Daniels style bass guitar and Roth swinging a sword to increase the excitement to maximum capacity.
