10 Best Music Videos Of The 2000's

9. Discovery Album - Daft Punk

Daft Punk have been a band who always put their music before anything else. Over their decades-long career, the band has been able to make some of the best electronic music while still remaining relatively faceless behind their classic robot helmets. Though the band likes to remain somewhat enigmatic, their visual depictions behind their sophomore release remain some of the most creative videos of all time.

While the band were working on the basic premise for Discovery, the entire record seemed to be better suited as a whole than just a few danceable singles. In a stroke of cinematic brilliance, the band decided to use the entire Discovery album as the soundtrack to an anime series entitled Interstella 5555. The entire series would follow the life of an extra terrestrial band called the Crescendolls as they take the viewer on a sci-fi journey to escape the clutches of the villainous Darkwood.

With barely any dialogue throughout, the entire album provides the narrative for this fantastic piece of musical cinema. Where many videos tend to take a back seat to the music being played, this is a great example of a video that doesn't skimp out on breathtaking music and gorgeous animation.
