10 Best Post-Hardcore Albums Of The 21st Century

2. Silverstein €“ Discovering The Waterfront

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgtaRbx4pPQ Silverstein are one of the most underrated bands amongst the post-hardcore scene, yet they have a loyal cluster of fans for whom they can do absolutely no wrong. Following their initial record €˜When Broken is Easily Fixed€™, the band matured as Shane Told€™s scream-style became a lot more controlled, and each of the following six full-length albums to date delivered a steady and dependable sound. Discovering the Waterfront, released in 2005, is undoubtedly the best and most popular of the lot, with the powerful choruses and catchy verses from tracks such as €˜Smile in Your Sleep€™ and €˜My Heroine€™ a clear highlight, and they are without doubt two of the best post hardcore tracks ever. The aggressive yet melodic style of other songs such as €˜Your Sword Versus My Dagger€™ and €˜Three Hours Back€™ maintain the album€™s consistency and there is not a weak track on it. They may not be the most recognisable or well-known band, but Silverstein truly have mastered this genre.
