10 Best Post-Hardcore Albums Of The 21st Century

6. Falling In Reverse €“ The Drug In Me Is You

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODhMdujZeEY Ronnie Radke is a controversial figure, that€™s for sure. The Vegas-born vocalist has always been open about his personal problems throughout his records, such as his abandonment by his mother as a child and subsequent drug and alcohol addictions, and his time spent in prison. His problems led to him being kicked out of Escape the Fate, a band he helped to form, but following his release from prison in 2010 he formed a new band €“ Falling in Reverse. Radke has spoken about how he used his time in prison to write new songs, and it certainly seems to have been time well spent as their 2011 debut album The Drug in Me Is You was outstanding from start to finish. The brilliant €˜Sink or Swim€™ is a standout track on this record, although €˜I€™m Not a Vampire€™ and €˜The Drug in Me Is You€™ understandably gained more mainstream recognition. 'The Westerner' is perhaps the most intriguing song on the album, as it somewhat arrogantly delves into the depths of Radke's life, yet still manages to get the listener feeling sorry for the FIR frontman. The song itself does not fit the style of the rest of the album, but is a welcome variation, helping to dodge any accusations of it being one-dimensional. If you loved Radke in Escape the Fate, there is no doubt you will love The Drug in Me Is You.
