10 Best Rock Album Closers Ever

4. Under Pressure - Hot Space

Two of of the most respected British artists of 1980s, Queen and David Bowie collaborated in 1981 to produce an absolute classic.

Chosen to end their tenth studio album, Hot Space, the song has gone on to become one of the most memorable hits for both artists. Created during a shared jam session, the lyrics relate the struggles of how pressure in its many forms affects the lives of every human on planet Earth.

A lesser artist would make this message seem hollow and superficial, but when sung by David Bowie and Freddie Mercury sing it, you really do believe they mean it.

John Deacon's simple bass line is perhaps one of the most memorable aspects of the song, proving to be so iconic and endearing that it has been sampled (and in some high-profile cases, stolen) on numerous occasions.

Mercury and Bowie's duet is nothing short of amazing, as both vocalists really sell the message behind the song with their combined talents. An absolutely amazing effort from both Queen and Bowie, "Under Pressure" is an 80s classic that is fondly remembered in many compilation albums, movie soundtracks, and poor attempts at mimicking Freddie's scatting in karaoke bars.
