8. Palma Violets - (TBA)
Release Date: TBA The poster children of the NME for the past year, Palma Violets have proved themselves a force to be reckoned with over the course of 2013. From raucous live performances of their well received debut album to making friends in high up places in the music industry - such as Johnny Marr - it seems as if they can do no wrong! And eager to prove their worth in the industry, the band announced at the end of last year that they are hard at work on their followup record with 30 potential songs already written. Those eager for a return to the punk stylings of the band's debut "180" however may be surprised, as it has been revealed by the band that this record is heavily inspired by The Grateful Dead of all people. This has created a new style for the band to explore as the previous three minute high energy garage rock tracks are replaced by ten minute epics with psychedelic undertones. However, whilst this may sound like a jarring change, the band are eager to point out that this new direction will be a natural progression from their previous album as they meld psychedelia into their unique style of punk rock, without losing any of the energy they're renowned for.
