2001 was a great year for rock music. Bands such as Tool, System of a Down, Edguy and Slipknot all released solid albums, while other names like Drowning Pool threw out highly impactful singles. The enduring relevance and appeal of ‘Bodies’ has made it one of the most recognisable 21st century metal tunes in the world, which is probably why it gets covered so frequently.
The latest cover of ‘Bodies’ comes from We’re Wolves (not to be confused with Canadian band We Are Wolves) who despite only being active for three years, already have an impressive cover song track record. We’re Wolves have covered the likes of Papa Roach and Limp Bizkit in the past, but their interpretation of ‘Bodies’ may be their best to date.
Since releasing this single, We’re Wolves have extended their cover song resume by taking on Slipknot’s ‘Before I Forget’ and Disturbed’s ‘Down With the Sickness’.
