10 Best Rock Music Album Covers Of The 1990s

9. Enema Of The State - Blink-182

Perennial teenagers Blink-182 set out their stall nice and early when they included the word "enema" in the title of their 1999 album.

Enema of the State was the first to feature Travis Barker on drums and helped cement the lads as a firm fixtures of the thriving pop punk landscape.

Blink's whole thing was that they were juvenile, even when compared with to the very low standards of the rest of the pop punk world. So, naturally, this front cover features a porn star about to stick her finger up someone's backside.

Janine Lindemulder appears on the front of the album stretching a blue rubber glove over her hand. She's dressed as a nurse, although there would be few hospitals that would actually let her work whilst looking like that.

Lindemulder's look was so strong that the band put her in the music videos for What's My Age Again? and Man Overboard. When people think of a Blink album cover, this is the one that comes to mind.

It's edgy, it's funny, it's childish, it's a little bit sexy, it's everything you could want from a rock cover from 1999.
