10 Best Rock Music Album Covers Of The 2010s

9. Going To Hell - The Pretty Reckless

Remember Cindy Lou Who from the Jim Carrey Grinch movie? Well, she grew up to become a hellraising rock star.

Taylor Momsen formed The Pretty Reckless in 2009 when she was just 16 years old, and the band put out their first album the following year. In 2014, they followed that up with the excellent Going to Hell.

The album was a massive hit, cracking the top ten in both the US and the UK. It ranked among the 200 best-selling records of the entire year in the States, establishing The Pretty Reckless as major new players on the rock scene.

The band have something of a throwback sound about them, which is reflected in the cover for Going to Hell. It's Momsen, shot naked from behind, with a large black arrow drawn on her back.

She says she was inspired by the famous Pink Floyd photo of the women sat by the pool. The one that students across the world bought "just because they liked the music."

Sure, pal.

It's a beautifully shot image that pays homage to one of the all-time greats. A nice cover, if you can get over the fact that Cindy Lou Who is now posing nude.
