10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 1980s

9. Breaking The Law - Judas Priest

Who doesn't love a bit of silly fun in their music videos? British heavy metal band Judas Priest sure do!

Well, hopefully they do, otherwise they would have hated making this one in 1980.

For one of their biggest ever tracks Breaking the Law, the band needed something memorable when it came to making the promotional film. Why not a bank robbery with guitars instead of guns? Yeah, that'll do.

Rob Halford, K. K. Downing, and Glenn Tipton (the latter two dressed as nuns for some reason) enter the establishment brandishing their instruments as weapons. They then steal the gold record for their album British Steel from the bank's vaults, which was in there for... some reason.

Look, great videos don't have to make sense, okay?

All this goes down whilst a bumbling security watches on via CCTV, miming along with the song on a fake guitar of his own.

A video like this was never going to win awards, but it is a lot of a fun and will definitely raise a smile. Plus, the song is only two minutes and 35 seconds long. That's hardly enough time to create Citizen Kane, now is it?
