10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 1990s
6. Paranoid Android - Radiohead
Sticking with utterly unhinged things, only this video uses more than three different colours and doesn't feature a naked lady wearing a mask with Jesus on it.
What a shame, eh?
Much like Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead helped define the alternative music scene of the 1990s with deeply emotional, highly unconventional songs like Paranoid Android.
The track is from their critically-lauded 1997 album OK Computer and the group spared no expense in bringing it to the small screen. Ok, maybe some expense was spared - some of these animations look a little on the crude side.
But you get the idea.
Tom Yorke said he wanted this video to be fun and animator Magnus Carlsson hit that brief out of the park.
It follows Robin, a character from another Carlsson project, as he goes around getting into various scrapes. In true Radiohead fashion, these exploits are completely nonsensical and quite often involve women with their breasts exposed.
It was the late 90s after all.
Full of subtext for those who want it and just a whole heap of fun for those who don't, the video for Paranoid Android is a fantastic way to spend six-and-a-half minutes.
