10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 2000s

1. Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

This was going to be MCR's video for Famous Last Words instead, but that was too hipster even for us.

Also, how can you deny the cultural force of nature that is the video for Welcome to the Black Parade?

Released in 2006, the (sort of) title track from My Chemical Romance's third studio album tells the story of a man's final hours as he faces death head on.

With such a brilliant concept to draw on - the idea of death being a giant, goth street parade - it's not surprising that this video is a total feast for the senses.

From the initial death of "The Patient" to the desolate streets lined with morbid parade participants to the band standing atop their float in reverse Sgt. Pepper uniforms, this video fires on all cylinders and created so much mytos around the band that still exists today.

There are some great MCR videos out there, but none quite captured the attention of the world quite like this one.

The scale of it, the creativity on show, the sheer emotion behind it, Welcome to the Black Parade truly is a video for the ages.
