10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 2020s So Far

6. Teardrops - Bring Me The Horizon

The "Post Human" project from British emo idols Bring Me the Horizon might have gone quiet in recent years, but the first release did give us some banging tracks.

Teardrops was one of the singles from Post Human: Survival Horror, getting a release in October 2020. Even though it disappointingly wasn't a cover of the Womack and Womack song, it still slapped and had a great music video to back it up.

Directed by lead singer Oli Sykes, the Teardrops video details the frontman's many battles with his mental health through the metaphor of drowning.

Watching Sykes perform underwater and give a great deadeyed performance to the camera would have been good enough, but then a damn demon shows up!

Looking Gollum's demented mother, this physical manifestation of depression is revealed to be the one who is forcing Sykes under the water. In the end, he gets a literal helping hand from his bandmate, who pulls him back on to dry land.

Is this a little clumsy and cliched? Absolutely. However, it's still a really well made video and that depression demon will stick with you for a very long time.
