10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 2020s So Far

3. Meteor - Architects

Whilst their credentials building houses might be questionable, Architects are without a doubt one of the biggest bands to come from the UK metal scene in the last 20 years.

Hailing from Brighton (a very un-metal city), the band have made quite the name for themselves and have continued to make an impact in the 2020s with songs like Meteor.

Taken from their 2021 album For Those That Wish to Exist, Meteor wasn't a massive single by any means, but its music video definitely made a splash.

Its animated beautifully - a post-apocalyptic pencil drawing come to life. The visual style is complimented by a compelling story, as a faceless man is torment by the lack of influence he has over his own life.

We've talked about the use of colour a lot in this list and the scenes towards the end of this video - where the titular meteor turns the grayscale environment burning orange - are a standout example of this.

Meteor's video is an absolutely joy to behold. Ok, maybe "joy" isn't the word to use for a video where a guy throws up, but still.
