10 Best Two-Album Wonders In Rock Music History
7. Chickenfoot
Rock supergroup Chickenfoot started off as a jam session between ex-Van Halen bandmates Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. They then recruited Joe Satriani as their guitarist (because why not get the best?) and the rest, as they say, is history.
The group released their self-titled debut album in 2009, and it did very well. This isn't surprising - just look at that line-up!
After scoring a number four hit on their very first go, Chickenfoot decided to try again with their second album... Chickenfoot III.
Well that's just unhelpful.
In spite of its confusing name, the album also did well, climbing to ninth place on the musical leader board. And then, nothing.
As of right now, Chickenfoot have yet to release any more new material. They've played together live and have debuted unreleased songs on stage, but nothing official has ever come to light.
The problem with a supergroup is that the members all have other commitments. The first two Chickenfoot albums were a lot of fun though, so nobody can really complain.
It was fun while it lasted.
