10 Best Two-Album Wonders In Rock Music History

4. Smash Mouth

There is every chance that Smash Mouth could become this generation's Survivor. They've both got one song they're most famous for, both of which are from films, and they both start with an S!

Before any songs that would become associated with a certain ogre came along, Smash Mouth had already tasted some serious success.

Their first album Fush Yu Mang contained the track Walkin' on the Sun, which is both a banger and was a big deal back in 1997. Along with a cover of War's Why Can't We Be Friends?, Walkin' on the Sun 2helped propel Fush Yu Mang to the US top 20 and the double platinum sales mark.

And then came Astro Lounge.

This 1999 release was the peak of Smash Mouth's power as a charting act, coming in at number six and shifting over three million copies in the US alone. And yes, this is the one All Star is from.

Album number three only reached 48th place in the charts, and number four did even worse at position number 100. After that, nothing else charted ever again.

Don't worry, folks, those big green royalty cheques are still rolling in.
