10 Biggest Album Disasters Of All Time

5. Raditude - Weezer

The Weezer camp have always had a bit of a spotty track record ever since their return in the early '00s. While fans and critics might herald their presumed misfire Pinkerton as a classic nowadays, Rivers Cuomo has seemed to have made it his personal mission to run as far away from the album as physically possible. Nerd rock does have its limits though, and that comes in the form of Raditude.

Along with having one of the doofiest album covers and names imaginable, this is one of the most manufactured sounding rock records ever made in the '00s. Looking to get a fresh perspective on their sound, Cuomo decided to work with outside songwriters for the first time in his career, only to go with some of the most questionable choices right out of the gate. Although some members of the All American Rejects check out alright, the idea of having Lil Wayne write a verse for your nerd rock album only makes sense after you've been overserved at the bar a few too many times.

Though starting off fairly strong, Raditude is the lowest that Weezer has ever gotten, with a sound that feels a lot more cynical than a genuine artistic direction. It's every band's right to experiment, but we are a long ways away from In the Garage and Say It Ain't So.
