10 Biggest Earworms Of All Time

4. Single Ladies - Beyonce

Whenever people try to trash talk pop music nowadays, it's always customary to go after the pop divas. After all, since there are other styles of music that are just getting birthed, why trash talk them when you can just go for the heavyhitters who have been notching up hits for years? Though people may point to Ariana Grande or Mariah Carey as bottom of the barrel for some bizarre reason, you can't even step to Queen Bey on Single Ladies.

It's almost weird to even call this an earworm though, considering how strange some of these note choices are. Compared to the usual manufactured pop that you might see out of typical divas, there's a lot more going on in this track, with weird string flourishes that seem to be ripped straight out of a horror movie. Let's face it though...the only reason people keep returning to this song is because of that hook line, which became a monster once it was paired with the iconic video of Beyonce dancing to it perfectly.

Though this isn't a complicated vocal melody or anything, the actual X-factor of this song comes in Beyonce's vocal performance, towering over the entire mix and demanding your due respect and attention. While some of this song is played out way too much during Ladies' Nights at the bar, the sheer power behind this song is not going to be leaving us until the sun burns out of the sky.
