10 Biggest WTF Moments In 2020s Rock So Far

1. All The Anti-Vax Songs

It's impossible to talk about the early 2020s without mentioning COVID-19 and, unfortunately, those who fought to spread misinformation about the disease and its vaccines.

Alongside your standard issue deniers, a number of rock musicians outed themselves as anti-vaxxers and lockdown haters through the release of very ill-advised songs.

Eric Clapton made it his life's mission to destroy already-fragile reputation by putting out a whole heap of music dedicated to "the truth." He worked with Van Morrison - another rampant lockdown basher - on a song called Stand and Deliver, before releasing his own song, This Has Gotta Stop, in August 2021.

Then there was Ian Brown of Stone Roses fame, whose song Little Seed, Big Tree was removed from Spotify for apparently spreading misinformation.

And finally, we have Kid Rock, who put out a track called We the People in January 2022. In this song, he takes on everyone from social media outlets to Joe Biden to the Black Lives Matter movement in a tasteless style we've all come to expect from Mr. Rock over the years.

COVID-19 exposed a lot of things about our society, including which musicians had some particularly troubling views.
