10 Biggest WTF Moments In '90s Rock Music

3. The Death Of Kurt Cobain

The next two entries are going to be discussing the untimely passings of two beloved musicians, so feel free to skip to the end if you're not in the mood for that sort of thing.

On 8th April 1994, a body was discovered in the room above the garage at Kurt Cobain's home in Seattle. It was later confirmed to be that of the Nirvana frontman, who had seemingly committed suicide via a shotgun blast.

The music world was rocked to its very core by this tragic turn of events. Nirvana had exploded on to the scene with their album Nevermind and had released their third studio record just seven months earlier.

It was known that Cobain was a troubled soul - you couldn't write the sort of music he did without having some sort of trauma to draw on. In this case, his demons got the better of him, and he made the heart-breaking decision to bring his own life to an end.

Though he lived just 27 years on this Earth, the legend of Kurt Cobain will carry on forever in his image, words, and music.

A very sad day.
