The laboured writing and production of Kanye West's follow-up to 2013's brilliant Yeezus has been extensively documented. Initially, the album was set to be released in mid-2014, but mid-2014 came and went, and there wasn't a peep from Camp Yeezy. We did, at the very least, get a title So Help Me God thought to be a sly reference to the fact that the artist proclaimed himself a god during one of Yeezus's tracks. But in early 2015, West changed his mind on the title, and announced the vastly inferior SWISH. Oh, and he also stated that he might change his mind again, too. As for the tracks, West has released Only One, which sounds like an 808s & Heartbreak song, and All Day, which sounds a bit like something off Yeezus. Kanye is clearly struggling to come up with something wholly coherent. From album delays to title switches to disjointed-sounding songs, it's entirely likely West who is something of a perfectionist will scrap the whole thing and start again. Hell, maybe he already has, and we just don't know about it yet. Whatever is going on, West clearly isn't all that focused, as he released the song Facts at the close of 2015, which is essentially about his popular line of Adidas shoes and his 2020 bid for presidency.
