The numerous revelations and allegations against R. Kelly sour the original version of this song which, at the time of release, was a huge hit. Luckily, San Francisco punk rock supergroup Me First And The Gimme Gimmes (consisting of members of NOFX, Lagwagon and Bad Religion), recorded an even better version in 2003.

Opening with sliding Hawaiian guitars, a perky ukelele riff and soothing vocals, it soon explodes into a roaring burst of pure punk rock joy. The driving lead guitars that kick in towards the end of the main riff in the chorus are an absolute dream.

Just forget the original ever existed; after hearing this, no-one will miss it.
