http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvFPlWh1yQY You know it's hard away from you Travelling roads and passing through It's not the money and it's not the fame I just can't explain, sometimes it's lonely Radio 2 are obsessed with this song. Utterly obsessed. They must play it about three times a day. It is a catchy little progressive rock tune which you will either love to trill along to or you will want to throw the radio out of the window when Radio 2 inexorably play it during the Jeremy Vine show. The song is like a prog rock version of ABBA's Super Trooper with added parmesan on top. The female singer poignantly sings: "Learned how to cry too young so now I live to sing". She has to perform but she dislikes being apart from her beau who must live in a very northern location: "Sing to you of Northern Lights. Sing for you of Northern Nights". It is a nice little cheesy number that always brightens up my dreary days when I hear it on Radio 2. Yes, I listen to Radio 2, and I'm proud of it!

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
