10 Most Cheesy Songs From The 1970s

8. Tiger Feet - Mud (1974)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQfidTOTsLo All night long, you've been looking at me Well, you know you're the dance hall cutie that you longed to be Oh well now, you've been laying it down You've got your hip swinging out of bounds And I like the way you do what you're doin' to me Ghastly, terrible, cheese mongering that inexplicably caught the record buying imagination of both Britain and Ireland. Tiger Feet was recorded by hideous Glam rockers Mud who developed their utterly awful dance to go with the song which is embarrassing and too pitiful to describe here. Rather disgracefully, the song sold 700,000 copies in the UK. It also topped the Dutch pop charts and surely annoyed many sensible Dutch people who were surely very p*ssed off with this nonsense. Unbelievably it is still regularly played on my local radio station who abandoned all taste in 1972. Enjoy the putrid dancing above! You will thank me for posting it.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
