A nonsensical piece of cheese that is nonetheless catchy despite the piquancy of its smell, Escape (The Pina Colada Song) didn't do as well in the British charts - charting in the mid twenties - as it did in other countries - especially America where it topped the Billboards and was the last number one of the 1970s. It ushered in a new decade of cheese - the 1980s, which I have to say was good, but didn't hit the brilliance of 1970s cheese.
