10 Classic Music Albums That Will Make You Love Nu Metal

8. Hellbilly Deluxe - Rob Zombie

And from one of the most mellow we go to one of the most over the top. In the first minute that you listen to someone like Rob Zombie, the idea of subtlety doesn't really seem to be in his musical vocabulary, turning everything up high and getting more and more aggro as he goes on. That might seem a little off putting, but it was a rip roaring good time when he released his first solo album.

Fresh off of White Zombie, Rob hadn't lost any of his momentum here, taking the horror aspects of the music and making something that was a lot closer to the Nightmare Before Christmas. For anyone who was into the more gothic side of rock and roll, this is the perfect album for you, sounding like something that would play over the speakers at a club on Halloween Night.

Though the topics on these songs still feel like they're pulled right out of the crypt, Zombie's aesthetic is not as sinister as you might think. Even with his idols being Alice Cooper, there's sort of a charm that comes with being this over the top every now and again, like the swagger of his bars on Living Dead Girl or Dragula. While this might not be anyone's first choice for the most tuneful album in rock history, you can still dig through the ditches and burn through the witches with the best of them every time you put this on.
