10 Classic Rock Songs That Were Made Out Of Spite

6. Bastard - Motley Crue

As goofy as the hair metal scene seemed at the outset, Motley Crue really seemed to walk the walk in the early days. Compared to the more poodle haired stripes of hair metal that would come after, these guys really were as crazy as they seemed, oftentimes falling over themselves and getting into more dangerous behavior than most other bands would get into in their entire lives. So with that in mind, why would you pick these guys as the act that you try to screw over?

Before the band even had a major label knocking at their door, they had been involved in some shady business practices with management, who decided to try and take the money and run for the majority of their royalties. After cutting off ties with him for the rest of their tenure, Nikki Sixx poured most of his anger into Bastard, which fantasized about all of the violent things that he could do to this former friend if he had the chance.

He must have gotten his message across well too, considering this became one of the first songs to make the PMRC's Filthy Fifteen songs that were too vile for most kids to listen to. If anything, that's a compliment to a song like this by further emphasizing the message he wanted to send to his manager. Namely, DON'T F*CK WITH US.
