10 Classic Song Remixes Better Than The Original

9. Cornershop - "Brimful Of Asha (Norman Cook Mix)"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM7H0ooV_o8 Sometimes all it really takes to give a song a little more oomph is to turn that speed dial up by about 0.5 and add a more consistent rhythm. Cornershop's original take on the song (which is apparently about the rich tradition of lip-synching in Indian musicals), has more of a laid-back, stoner vibe to it. It's one of those songs you'd blast in your car with the windows down on a day where you're driving nowhere in particular. But once Fatboy Slim (here credited under his actual name for reasons that aren't entirely clear) got ahold of it, he pumped it full of some panache and gave it a feisty key change, turning it into a major success in dance clubs. Now it's the song you play in your car when you're having a good time but have some s--t to DO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LBnMRWeV-E
