10 Classic Songs That Have Aged Terribly

9. Miss You - Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones don't really owe any of us a damn thing anymore. Being one of the few long lasting groups to come out of the '60s, these leaders of the British Invasion can easily rest on their laurels as one of the founding members of what we call rock and roll. You don't get to that spot without a few dips in the old career though.

Across each respective decade, the Stones had tried to fit themselves into whatever the hip new trend was for the time, oftentimes involving cringy outfits and course correcting back to their bluesy roots. Though the '80s weren't kind to them at all, it's time that we all come to terms with the fact that the Stones' disco era was a mistake, with Miss You being the prime suspect.

As much as this might have been a way to incorporate the fresh sound of the time into the Stones' trademark menacing sound, the entire song just feels like the Glimmer Twins being sterilized in the worst way, as Mick Jagger talks about pining for his lover with what sounds like indifference in his voice. While everything the Stones do has its own distinct swagger, this is the worst kind of disco that falls just a hair above Rod Stewart's Do Ya Think I'm Sexy in terms of quality.
